Endgame (shown as ENDGAMƎ ) is a Canadian drama series broadcast by Showcase . It was first broadcast in Canada on March 14, 2011. The series only consists of 13 episodes in a season, as the broadcasting station refrained from continuing due to poor ratings. So far there has not been a broadcast synchronized in German.

After his fiancée was murdered, the Russian chess master Arkady Balagan developed agoraphobia . Therefore he retires to the hotel in front of which his fiancée was killed. From this he tries to solve the murder of his fiancée with some friends and servants, while he also solves other crimes and uses his analytical skills. To finance his livelihood, he uses online chess games that interested parties can play against him, the “Grand Master Arkady Balagan”, via his website.
