Peter Wingfield

Peter Michael Wingfield (born September 5, 1962 in Cardiff , Wales ) is a British actor .

Life

Wingfield studied medicine before choosing to act in the final year of his undergraduate studies. He played in the films X-Men 2 , Catwoman and Miss Texas , mostly in supporting roles. He celebrated his greatest success with the portrayal of the 5,000-year-old Methos in the television series Highlander and in the movie Highlander: Endgame . He has also taken on a number of guest roles in successful series such as Stargate - Kommando SG-1 , Andromeda , Charmed - Magic Witches , Medium - Nothing is hidden , The L Word - When women love women or Smallville .

Since autumn 2006 he has played the consulting surgeon Daniel Clifford in the BBC hospital series Holby City .

Wingfield is a second married and lives in Vermont with his wife and son .
