The energy Waldeck-Frankenberg GmbH ( EWF ) is a power company in North Hesse .

history

The EWF GmbH was created in 2003 from the merger of Stadtwerke Korbach GmbH and Verbandselizitätswerk Waldeck-Frankenberg GmbH. In 2007 EWF merged with Stadtwerke Fritzlar. The company's headquarters are in the Hanseatic city of Korbach . In addition, the EWF maintains other offices in Bad Arolsen , Bad Wildungen , Battenberg , Fritzlar , Volkmarsen and Trendelburg .

In December 2011, the special purpose association Energie Waldeck-Frankenberg founded the Verbands-Energie-Werk Gesellschaft für Erneuerbare Energien mbH (VEW), which is managed by its sister company, the EWF.

Business areas

The company supplies customers in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district , the Schwalm-Eder district and the Kassel district with electricity, natural gas and heat. It is also responsible for the water supply for the Hanseatic city of Korbach .
