Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) is an American energy company. Founded in 1995 by Kelcy L. Warren , the company owns Sunoco and Sunoco Logistics .
ETP owns 100,500 km of natural gas and NGL pipelines, 9,500 km of oil pipelines, 4,350 km of product lines and 1,340 filling stations. In Mont Belvieu , ETP owns a large Natural Gas Liquids ( ethane , propane ) fractionator. The LNG terminal in Lake Charles is currently being converted from import to export.

Energy Transfer Partners is owned by Energy Transfer Equity, LP (ISIN US29273V1008 ) , which is also listed .
In 2016, Energy Transfer Equity (ETE) committed to acquire Williams Companies . However, at the end of June 2016, ETE withdrew from the purchase agreement, which was confirmed as lawful by a court in Delaware. In November 2016, ETE announced the consolidation of Sunoco Logistics Partners and Energy Transfer Partners into one company.
