The city lies at the junction of Highway 146 with Farm Road 1942 in southeast Texas, just north of Interstate 10 , 50 km east of Houston , is km to the southeast about 12 of the Galveston Bay , and 50 km from the Gulf of Mexico away and has a total area of ​​38.6 km², of which 1.0 km² is water.
