Enerpac is a division of New York- based Actuant , whose global manufacturing company is based in Menomonee Falls , Wisconsin . Enerpac is primarily in the high pressure hydraulics business and has over 1,000 employees in 28 offices in 22 different countries. The company focuses on the execution of their products, from small cylinders to computerized lifting and positioning work.

In the heavy lifting sector, Enerpac manufactures SPMTs , strand jacks , hydraulic gantry cranes and step jacks.

history

Historian John Gurda , who recorded the story of Actuant in The Drive To Lead , highlighted the following events in the history of Enerpac: American Grinder Manufacturing was born in 1910. Eight years later, American Grinder Manufacturing produces water pumps for the Ford T car and is renamed Blackhawk Manufacturing in 1925. Two years later they are bought out by Hydraulic Tool Co. of Los Angeles .

In 1959, Enerpac is formally established as a brand name for hydraulic tools and hydraulic systems. In 1961, Blackhawk Manufacturing was renamed Applied Power Industries. In the 1980s, Enerpac developed convertible systems for maximum actuation. In 1985, Applied Power increased its global presence with ten plants on five continents.

Shortly after the turn of the millennium, APW Electronics separates from Applied Power and Enerpac becomes part of Actuant Corporation. In the same year, Enerpac systems raise the Golden Gate Bridge . Four years later, Enerpac supported the construction of the roof of the Athens Olympic Stadium . In 2005 the lifting system of the Millau Viaduct in France is supported by the Enerpac hydraulic system . In 2006, Enerpac built elevators in the 74-year-old Shanghai Concert Hall . They also repositioned the roof of Beijing National Stadium , where the 2008 Olympics took place, and repaired the movable roof of the Milwaukee Brewers from Major League Baseball at Miller Park that year.

In 2009 the stage for the Tour 360 ° was built by U2 using Enerpac's Synchronous Lift System. In 2010, Enerpac's hydraulic systems played a role in the rebuilt construction of the Bay Bridge in San Francisco .

Products and services

Enerpac is a manufacturer of high pressure tools and components for a wide variety of markets and applications. However, Enerpac's focus is on the following six customer directions:
