Engelbert Lengauer

Engelbert Lengauer (born November 5, 1927 in Kefermarkt , Upper Austria ; † January 17, 2019 ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

Engelbert Lengauer was born and raised in Pernau , a cadastral community of Kefermarkt in the Freistadt district .

After attending elementary school and high school in Freistadt , Engelbert Lengauer passed the Matura in 1949 . Immediately afterwards he became an employee of the agricultural health insurance company for Upper Austria. Later he took over the branch of the agricultural health insurance fund in Rohrbach . From 1950 Lengauer was also active in various areas in the Bauernbund , a sub-organization of the ÖVP.

In March 1982 he moved to the Federal Council in Vienna as an Upper Austrian delegate . He was a member of this until October 1985. After a seven-month break, he was sworn in again as a member of the Federal Council in May 1986. His second term of office then lasted until June 1988.

From 1988 to 1990 he was a member of his party in the Upper Austrian state parliament .
