Engelbert Mager (born April 30, 1849 in Schömberg , † October 19, 1926 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) was a German teacher and author.

In 1866 he entered the Gmünd Catholic teacher training college, in 1868 he accepted a non-professional teaching position in Schörzingen, only to return to the Gmünd seminary in 1870, where he had to take over drawing lessons. Until his retirement in 1913, he taught as a drawing teacher. His methodically underpinned lessons met with great recognition. In 1874 he became a master drawing teacher. In 1910 he received the title of professor.

As a writer, he devoted himself to pedagogical questions in essays for the Catholic magazine for pedagogy , for the club messenger and the drawing teacher . Few of the writings dealt with topics of local history. His main work was an extensive monograph on Karl Mauch, who traveled to Africa .
