The Englehart River is a right tributary of the Blanche River in the Timiskaming District in the northeast of the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Englehart River rises north of the Fallduck Lakes in Bompas Township . It flows mainly in a south-easterly direction, with a strongly meandering behavior. The Englehart River Fine Sand Plain and Waterway Provincial Park lies on its course . 34 km of the river are within the protected area. This extends to Long Lake , a 24 km long broadening of the Englehart River. The Englehart River then flows east through Charlton . He further overcomes downstream in Cape Kig-Iwan Provincial Park , the eponymous Cape Kig Iwan Falls . Shortly afterwards, the river turns north and flows through the town of Englehart to flow another 3 km into the Blanche River.
The Englehart River has a length of about 100 km. Its catchment area covers more than 1100 km².
The middle reaches of the Englehart River runs along the Cross Lake Fault fault. This forms the south-western boundary of the Lake Timiskaming Rift Valley , a rift system of the Precambrian Shield .
