Enno Eimers

Enno Eimers (born August 19, 1936 in Emden ) is a German historian with a focus on Prussian history .

Life

Eimers studied Ancient, Medieval and Modern History and English at the Georg August University of Göttingen and the Free University of Berlin from 1958 to 1964, and received his doctorate in 1965 on the relationship between Prussia and the Reich from 1918 to 1923.

Enno Eimers has been a member of the Working Group on Prussian History since 1974, including on the board from 1979-2004, and since 1980 member of the Prussian Historical Commission . Since 2008 bucket edited the magazine Prussian releases of Prussia Institute . In addition to his work on the history of Prussia, he also deals with the history of East Frisia in various publications .

Until 2002, Enno Eimers taught history and English at the Teletta-Groß-Gymnasium Leer . From 1970 to 2002 he trained history teachers at the state study seminar for teaching at secondary schools. In addition, he held guest lectureships in Opole and Katowice .
