Enrico Calesso
Enrico Calesso (born November 4, 1974 ) is an Italian conductor and pianist , general music director of the Mainfranken Theater Würzburg .
career
Calesso first studied piano at the “ Benedetto Marcello ” Conservatory in Venice. He also studied philosophy with Emanuele Severino at the University of Venice .
From 2000 to 2005 he studied conducting with Uroš Lajovic at the Vienna University of Music .
During his training he worked as a musical assistant in opera ensembles, including the Bregenz Festival and the Wiener Festwochen . He then worked as an assistant to Ulf Schirmer .
From 2008 to 2010 Calesso was director of opera productions at the Klosterneuburg Opera in Lower Austria. From 2007 to 2010 he was employed at the Erfurt Theater as assistant to the general music director Walter Gugerbauer .
In 2010 he went to the Mainfranken Theater in Würzburg and became general music director there.
