Enrique Montoya Fernández (born September 21, 1928 in Utrera , Seville province , † July 28, 1993 ) was a Spanish flamenco artist. He became known for his characteristic voice and his spoken word. He also had numerous appearances in which he played the guitar himself, mostly to accompany his own singing. His most famous piece in Spain is "Señorita" .

Montoya performed as a guitarist in the villages of Andalusia in his youth. In Madrid he became a member of the Ases juveniles group , with whom he traveled through Egypt, Turkey, Greece and the Middle East.

After his return, the singer Concha Piquer made him a leading actor in her theater project Salero de España . He then worked as an accompanist for musicians such as Juana Reina , Lola Sevilla , Marifé de Triana , the " Niña de Antequera " María Barrús Martínez and Concha Piquer.

In 1970 he released the LP "Flamenco romantico" with Paco de Lucía . It is known today under the name "El Puente" . He made other recordings with Carlos Montoya ( "Guitar & Flamenco" with El Pili ; "Art of Flamenco" with El Pili and El Niño de Alicante ) and Sabicas ( "Flamenco Fiesta" ).
