Ensemble Hauptstraße Teuschnitz
The ensemble main street in Teuschnitz , a town in the Upper Franconian district of Kronach in Bavaria , is an architectural ensemble , under monument stands.
The ensemble includes the main street, the location of which corresponds to the founding of the market in the 14th century and a uniform development from the mid-19th century. The stretch of road on both sides in the southern area, in the northern region west side with traufständigen , articulated sandstone Quad built built-up, which were built in accordance with the fire of the 1844th
The town hall with its bell tower and clock , built in 1854 on the square-like extension of the main street, sets a special accent .
The street scene is dominated by the Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary , built in 1949 instead of a previous building . The open space south of the church, now used as a park, was created before 1854 when the remains of the former castle were demolished.
