Ensi (rapper)

Ensi (* 13. December 1985 in Alpignano , Metropolitan city of Turin as Jari Ivan Vella ) is an Italian rapper and freestyle .

Career

Ensi started working as a rapper in 1999. In 2003 he founded the group One Mic together with his older brother Raige and friend Rayden . He also took part in the national freestyle competition Tecniche Perfette that year , where he came second after Mondo Marcio . In 2005 the first one-mic album Sotto la cintura was released , in the same year Ensi won 2theBeat against Clementino at the freestyle convention . Also in 2006 he returned to 2theBeat ; two years later he made his debut with his first solo album Vendetta . Several EPs followed and in 2011 the second one-mic album Commerciale .

In 2012 Ensi switched to the independent label Tanta Roba by Guè Pequeno and DJ Harsh , where he released the Freestyle Roulette Mixtape and the album Era tutto un sogno . Two years later, the rapper had his mainstream breakthrough with the album Rock Steady , which was released on the major Warner label and contained a number of collaborations, for example with Julia Lenti , Noyz Narcos , Salmo and Y'akoto . The album V followed in 2017 , on which Gemitaiz and MadMan can also be heard.
