Enter the Haggis , also EtH or Haggis , is a Canadian-Scottish folk rock band from Toronto , Canada . The group has existed since 1996. In Germany they first appeared in 2005 as part of the Folk im Schlosshof Festival in Bonfeld near Heilbronn . Many fans of the band in North America and Europe call themselves “Haggis Heads”, in Germany correspondingly “Haggis Heads”. Haggis is a Scottish national dish .

Enter the Haggis' music is sometimes referred to as "Celtic Fusion " or "Newgrass" - derived from bluegrass . Their typical sound is created by combining “Celtic” folk instruments with modern rock music . With the Great Highland Bagpipes played by the band's founder, Craig Downie, the band's music is reminiscent of Scottish folk music.

Since the band was founded, Enter the Haggis toured many places in Canada, Europe and the USA. They have also performed at many major international folk and folk rock festivals.
