Entomognathus is a genus of digger wasps (Spheciformes) from the family Crabronidae , which is distributed worldwide, with the exception of Australia. 42 species are known worldwide. There are five species in Europe, two also in Central Europe.
features
The animals look very similar to those of the genus Lindenius , but can be distinguished by the short, upright hairy compound eyes.
Way of life
The females create their nests in the ground. The brood is supplied with small leaf beetles , especially earth fleas ( Psylliodes ).
