Eoin Collins (born July 28, 1968 in Dublin ) is a former Irish tennis player who is also a US national.

Career

Collins was never able to assert himself at a higher professional level such as the ATP Challenger Tour , even if he won a doubles title in 1991. He also never qualified for Grand Slam tournaments .

However, he took part in two Olympic Games: 1988 in Seoul and 1992 in Barcelona . In both competitions he competed with Owen Casey in the doubles competition. They lost in the opening round in 1988 against the Israelis Amos Mansdorf and Gilad Bloom in four sets. In 1992 they were able to win the first round against the Mexicans Leonardo Lavalle and Fernando Maciel . In the round of 16 against the Swiss Jakob Hlasek and Marc Rosset , however, they had no chance in three sets.

Collins played a total of 20 games for the Irish Davis Cup team between 1987 and 2004 . While his individual balance is negative at 8:13, he was able to win eight of fourteen games in doubles.
