Epaphos
Epaphos ( ancient Greek Ἔπαφος Epaphos ) is the son of Io and Zeus in Greek mythology . According to Aeschylus, Epaphos has a black skin color.
He was born on the Nile after his mother wandered around for a long time . At Hera's instigation, Epaphos was stolen by the Curetes , for which Zeus killed them with lightning. His mother found him with the queen of Byblos and brought him back to Egypt, where he later became king. He married Memphis , the daughter of Neilos (river god of the Nile), and named the city of Memphis after her . The couple had two daughters: Libya (through Poseidon's ancestral mother of the rulers of Argos ) and Lysianassa (through the same mother of Busiris ).
