Gazireh Eparchy (Syrian)
The eparchy Gazireh ( lat. : Eparchia Jazirensis Syrorum ) was one in today's Turkey Located Syrian Catholic Eparchy based in Cizre .
history
The Gazireh Eparchy was established in 1863. 1957 the Eparchy Gazireh by Pope Pius XII. dissolved and the territory was annexed to the eparchies of Aleppo and Beirut .
In 1960 there were 7,000 Syrian Catholics living in the Gazireh Eparchy. The eparchy was divided into seven parishes and had nine priests .
