The Ephyra Lake is a small, round 9 m deep and boomerang-shaped lake on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . In the Vestfold Mountains it is located west of Medusa Lake , with which it is temporarily connected via a 1 m wide and 0.5 m deep channel.
The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1995 after the ephyral larva, the larval form of umbrella jellyfish .
