features

Epimeria tuberculata is white with a tinge of red and becomes about 1.5 centimeters long. Like all Epimeria species, this species has large coxal plates , of which those of the first three segments are narrow and rather blunt at the distal end. The fourth and fifth coxal plates are particularly large, but their appendages are not as pointed as in the closely related species Epimeria cornigera . Epimeria tuberculata has dorsal keels that are elongated backwards like a thorn.

habitat

The species lives in the north-eastern Atlantic from Norway and Scotland to Iceland at a depth of 200 to 400 meters.
