Life

Erasmus Schüller was the son of the Cologne pipe manufacturer Heinrich Schüller and his wife Anna geb. Pape. His birthplace was the house at Thieboldsgasse No. 103. He last lived in the house Mauritiuswall 21 and had his own office in Cologne, which after his untimely death was taken over by Theodor Roß , who also completed the parish church of Immerath , which was still under construction . Since Schüller was only 29 years old, there are only a few buildings by him.

On October 13, 2013, the parish church was profaned and completely demolished on January 8 and 9, 2018, as it had to give way to the Garzweiler opencast mine . As a replacement, a small chapel was built according to plans by Johannes Klomp at the Immerath (new) resettlement site in 2013/14.
