Erdem Gündüz (* 1979 in Ankara ) is a Turkish artist, dancer and choreographer . He became known on June 18, 2013 through his “standing man” (Turkish Duran Adam ) action during the protests in Turkey , when he stood on Taksim Square and for about eight hours the portrait of the founder of the modern Republic of Turkey , Mustafa Kemal Ataturk staring.

Erdem Gündüz studied from 1996 to 2002 at the Aegean University in Izmir in the fields of electrics and agriculture, switched to Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi in 2003 to study art, design, music and dance. M100 Media Award
