Erdmann Gormsen

Erdmann Gormsen (born October 8, 1929 in Königsfeld in the Black Forest , † April 5, 1998 in Mainz ) was a German geographer .

Life

From 1949 to 1952 he studied chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography and geology at the University of Mainz and from 1952 to 1956 at the University of Heidelberg (1956 first state examination ). After receiving his doctorate in Heidelberg in 1962 and his habilitation there in 1969, he was Professor of Geography in Mainz from 1970 to 1995.
