Ergün Çakır (born March 10, 1983 in Tiel ) is a Dutch - Turkish football player.

Career

Çakır was born to parents of Turkish origin in Tiel, the Netherlands, and learned to play football in the youth departments of local amateur clubs. In 2007 he moved to Turkey and joined Eyüpspor . After he had played three seasons for this club, he moved to Elazığspor within the TFF 2nd Lig . With this club he became champions at the end of the season and rose to the TFF 1st Lig . Despite this success, he left this club in the summer of 2011 and moved on to Bandırmaspor .

After working for Turgutluspor for six months , Çakır moved to the Black Sea Club Giresunspor in the spring of 2013 . With this club he finished the season as a master of the TFF 2nd Lig and rose to the TFF 1st Lig . Çakır contributed significantly to this success with his 15 league goals and was the most successful goalscorer of his club. In mid-April 2015, he left this club prematurely.
