Erhard Cramer

Erhard Cramer (born September 13, 1967 in Soller ) is a German mathematician and university professor . He is a university professor for applied stochastics at the Institute for Statistics and Business Mathematics at RWTH Aachen University .

Cramer studied mathematics with a minor in economics at RWTH Aachen University, where he received his doctorate in March 1997 . After completing his habilitation in 2003 at the University of Oldenburg , he was initially appointed to the Technical University of Darmstadt . Since 2004 he has been a university professor for applied stochastics in Aachen.

His areas of work are: models of ordered random variables , reliability theory, extreme value theory , mathematical statistics , new media in mathematics.
