Erhard Krause

Erhard Krause (* 1910 or 1911; † after 1943) was a German jazz and entertainment musician ( trombone ).

Live and act

Krause came from a family of musicians; his grandfather and father also played the trombone. The first recordings were made in 1933 with Robert Renard and his Instrumentalia Dance Orchestra under the direction of Otto Dobrindt . In the 1930s he worked in the dance and entertainment orchestras of Kurt Engel , Otto Stenzel , Teddy Stauffer , Peter Kreuder , Will Glahé , Erwin Steinbacher , Franz Thon and Ernst Weiland . From 1934 he was a member of the studio band Die Goldene Sieben . During the war years he played in the studio bands of Willy Berking , Albert Vossen , Hans Rehmstedt and Henk Bruyns , as well as in the German Dance and Entertainment Orchestra . In the field of jazz he was involved in 122 recording sessions from 1933 to 1944, most recently shortly before the end of the war in Prague with the orchestra of Willi Stech (“Powerhouse”).
