Erhard Mielenhausen
Erhard Mielenhausen (born October 17, 1942 in Kassel ) is a German economist .
Life
Mielenhausen grew up in Dransfeld. After graduating from high school in Göttingen, he was a reserve officer candidate in the Air Force for two years (his last rank was Lieutenant d. R.). He then studied economics and business education at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . He then worked as an assistant at the chair for marketing and as a research assistant in the Collaborative Research Center 24 (“Economic and Social Psychological Decision Research”) at the University of Mannheim . In 1975 he received his doctorate in business administration and business education from the Faculty of Economics and Statistics .
Mielenhausen was head of retail research in the Roland Berger research group in Munich. As a professor for general business administration he went to the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück , where he was rector / president from 1985 to 2010. From 1995 to 2001 he was a member of the Science Council and from 2001 to 2007 Vice President of the University Rectors' Conference .
He is married and has two children.
