Eric Curth (born March 8, 1992 ) is a German basketball player. He has been under contract with third division team Scanplus Baskets Elchingen since 2019 .

career

Curth came in the 2009/10 season in the shirt of the BIS Baskets Speyer to first appearances in the third highest German division, the 2nd Bundesliga ProB . Between 2011 and 2014 he gained experience in the second division, the 2. Bundesliga ProA . This was followed by positions in the ProB with Lich, Herten and Karlsruhe. In Karlsruhe he contributed to the promotion to the ProA as a service provider.

Curth first played for ProB league club Essen in the 2017/18 season, before using a release clause in November 2017 to switch to English first division club Leeds Force . In 17 league games for Leeds in the 2017/18 season he averaged 12.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.5 assists.

At the beginning of July 2018, Curth was announced as a new addition to the Artland Dragons (promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga ProA). After a year in Lower Saxony, he moved to the Scanplus Baskets Elchingen in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB. With Elchingen, he became ProB-Süd champion of the 2019/20 season, which ended prematurely in mid-March 2020 due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
