Eric Kripke

Eric Kripke (born April 24, 1974 in Toledo , Ohio ) is an American writer, producer and director. He became known as the creator of the television series Supernatural , which he mainly produced from 2005 to 2009 and which he has now accompanied as a temporary co-producer.

Short biography

Kripke graduated from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in 1996 . The following year he directed and was a scriptwriter for the films Battle of the Sexes and Truly Committed . In 2003 he had the idea for The WB series Tarzan , which was taken out of the program after eight episodes. He was also a writer for the series. Tarzan was never broadcast on German television. The horror film Boogeyman followed in 2005 , for which a sequel with Jeff Betancourt followed. In the same year he found his current occupation, the television series Supernatural , which he invented and for which he is also active as an author and co-producer to this day. In 2012 NBC announced that Kripke would co - produce the hour-long thriller-drama series Revolution with JJ Abrams .
