Eric Marr

Eric Marr (* 1975 in Leipzig ) is a German television presenter and journalist .

Life

Marr grew up in Saxony and Thuringia . He completed his school career with the Abitur in Zella-Mehlis . He then studied law in his hometown of Leipzig. In addition, he worked as a freelancer at ZDF and did his traineeship at the ZDF regional studio in Schwerin . During this time he also took his first state examination in law . He also gained further journalistic experience with the newspaper Thüringer Allgemeine .

Since May 2002, Marr belongs to today editorial team of the ZDF.

Moderation and reporter work

Marr worked for ZDF for three months during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the ZDF studio there. From 2011 to 2015, Marr hosted the interactive television program heute plus, alternating with Yasmin Parvis and Jessica Zahedi . Since July 2015 he has been the moderator of the cross-media short message format today Xpress .

In the summer of 2017, he worked as a correspondent at the ZDF studio in Beijing, where he reported on China, Japan and the North Korea conflict.
