Eric Miller (born January 15, 1993 in Woodbury ) is an American football player .

Career

youth

Miller played soccer at the Minnesota Thunder Academy when he was young . During his time at Creighton University , he played for the university's selection, the Creighton Bluejays , for which he completed a total of 63 games with four goals.

Club career

In 2012 Miller began his club career with the Portland Timbers U-23 selection . He was there in 2012 and 2013 in a total of twelve league games in which he scored three goals.

On January 2, 2014, Miller signed a contract with Generation Adidas . During the MLS SuperDraft on January 15th, he was selected as a player in the first round of Montreal Impact and has since been under contract with the Canadians as a professional player. In the 2014 season , Miller was able to establish himself as a regular in left full defense and completed 21 season games. With Montreal he was able to win the Canadian Championship , the Canadian cup competition. In total, he was used for Impact in 30 league games.

Before the start of the 2016 season, Miller moved to league rivals Colorado Rapids .

National team

Because of his achievements for the university selection , he was appointed to the U-18 and U-20 national team of the USA. He played for the U-20 selection at the Toulon tournament and the 2013 U-20 World Cup .

Miller has two siblings, a sister and a brother. He studied economics at Creighton University . His grandfather, Jim, was a member of the University of Wisconsin's college selection .
