Eric Molina
Eric Molina (* 26. April 1982 in Raymondville , Texas as Eric Lee Molina ) is an American boxer of Mexican descent in the heavyweight division .
On April 27, 2013, Molina defeated Tony Grano by unanimous decision and was thereby North American champion . The following year he was defeated by WBC world champion Deontay Wilder by classic knockout in the 9th round. Although Molina was clearly behind on points until the knockout, he sold quite well for his standards.
In April 2016 Molina boxed against Tomasz Adamek from Poland for the vacant intercontinental title of the IBF association and won in round 10 by knockout.
On December 10, 2016 Molina punched against the reigning IBF world champion heavyweight , Anthony Joshua , in Manchester , England for the championship of the International Boxing Federation (IBF). He had no chance and lost due to a technical knockout in the third round.
