Erica Grupe-Lörcher (born February 12, 1875 in Manila , † June 26, 1960 in Wiesbaden , maiden name Erica Grupe ) was a German writer .

Life

Erica Grupe was the daughter of the German professor Grupe, the head of the state pharmacy in Manila . She spent the first ten years of her life in the Philippines . In 1885 the family returned to Germany, where his father a job as museum director in Lübeck took over. In her youth she undertook several long trips which she a. a. led to Belgium and southern France. In 1897 she married the journalist and writer Ulrich Lörcher in Strasbourg ; In 1899 the couple moved to Colmar .
