Erich Altwein

Erich FW Altwein (born March 22, 1906 in Höchst am Main ; † January 2, 1990 ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a former member of the state constitutional assembly , a forerunner of the Hessian state parliament .

Erich Altwein attended elementary, secondary and commercial school from 1912 to 1922 as well as courses at the adult education center in Höchst am Main . From 1922 to 1924 he was an apprentice in a banking institute and from 1924 worked in commercial professions in several German large industrial companies. Among other things, he was from 1947 to 1966 authorized signatory and personnel manager of the Deutsche Gold- und Silberscheideanstalt vorm. Roessler , in Frankfurt am Main .

Erich Altwein had been a member of the SPD since 1924. From July 15, 1946 to November 30, 1946 he was a member of the State Assembly of Greater Hesse, which advised the constitution, and from February 24, 1948 to September 7, 1949, a member of the Economic Council of the United Economic Area . There he was chairman of the political examination committee until October 12, 1948.
