Carl Baumgartner (* 10. January 1790 in Karlsruhe , † 8. October 1847 ibid; Protestant) was a 1813 in Baden civil service standing lawyer and has frequently been in since 1822 Baden state parliament elected.

Carl Baumgärtner was born the son of Johann Friedrich Baumgärtner (* 1756; † December 22, 1827 in Karlsruhe), real privy councilor and Minister of Justice, and Henriette Friederike, born von Olnhausen (* August 20, 1765 in Staufen ; † November 19, 1824 in Karlsruhe). Carl Baumgärtner married Luise Auguste nee Bär on April 16, 1818, daughter of the Ministerialrat , city and rural physician Dr. Johann Emil Bär from Durlach and Juliane born Dumberth. Baumgärtner's marriage had four children: Luise, Karl Heinrich Julius, Caroline and Julie.

Life

Baumgärtner studied law at the University of Heidelberg from the winter semester 1807/08 . In 1809 he became a member of the Lower Rhine . After graduating in January 1811, he became a secretary in the Baden Ministry of the Interior. On August 25, 1813, he became an assessor in the Ministry of the Interior and on January 8 of the following year, he was appointed senior assessor at the Durlach district office . Another five years later, on February 10, 1819, he was appointed as a bailiff at the Bretten district office ; on March 22nd, 1821, he was finally promoted to senior clerk at the Durlach district office in order to be transferred to Karlsruhe on May 4th, 1824 city management. For Privy Council 3rd class was named Baumgartner on 15 July 1827 and since 1 November 1839, he served as director of the government of the Middle Rhine circle in Rastatt operates. On January 5, 1843, he was finally appointed to the privy council of the 2nd class. He retired three years later, on December 19th .

Political activity

Carl Baumgärtner was a member of the electoral district 30 (Amt Bretten , City of Eppingen with Mühlbach ) of the 2nd Baden state parliament in 1822/23 . He was also a member of the 10th state parliament for electoral district 26 (Karlsruhe) in 1839/41 and a member of the 12th state parliament in 1845/46 for city electoral district 9 ( Durlach ).
