Erich Göritz

Erich Göritz (born March 12, 1908 in Berlin ; † unknown) was a German functionary of the GDR block party DBD . He was chairman of the Berlin district committee of the DBD and a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR.

Life

Göritz, the son of a gardening owner, attended elementary school and the gardening college in Oranienburg. He worked as a gardener and further qualified as a garden master and horticultural technician. During the Second World War he was a soldier and was taken prisoner of war .

From 1947 to 1956 Göritz was a member of the examination committee for apprentices and masters. In 1949 he joined the Association of Mutual Farmers Aid and acted as a member of the local and city council. In 1952 he joined the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany (DBD). 1952/53 he worked as deputy and from 1953 to 1956 as chairman of the Berlin district association of the DBD.

From 1954 to 1958 Göritz was Berlin representative in the People's Chamber.
