Erich Halatschek

Erich Halatschek (born November 19, 1925 in Wolfern ; † March 14, 2014 ) was an Austrian building contractor and chairman of the supervisory board of Habau , Austria's fifth largest construction group . He was based in Perg .

Life

Erich Halatschek was the fifth of six children of 1919 from Hohenfurth ( Vyšší Brod ) in Bohemia born marketed contractor Vincent Halatschek. He first spent his childhood in Wolfern, and it was not until 1929 that the company and the family moved to Perg, where Erich Halatschek attended compulsory school. He was married and had a daughter ( Isa Haller ) and two sons (Erich and Peter).

Erich Halatschek attended the HTL für Hochbau in Linz (today HTL 1 Bau und Design) and after an interruption through three years of war and a prisoner of war until April 1946, he graduated from high school in 1948 . After completing his training in 1949, he was the youngest builder in Austria and in 1950 took over his parents' company in Perg with 20 employees. In 1955 he brought this into the Ing.Erich Halatschek & Co. OHG, which was founded together with his brother-in-law Georg Heindl (director at Poschacher in Mauthausen ), which in the following decades developed into the HABAU group, which is active in Austria and internationally % owned by the Halatschek family and 40% owned by the Heindl family.
