Erich Hunziker

Erich Hunziker (born September 15, 1953 ; resident in Moosleerau ) is a Swiss manager .

Life

Hunziker studied mechanical engineering at the ETH Zurich . From 1980 to 1983 he was chairman of the Swiss Student Travel Service (SSR-Reisen) in Zurich . In 1983 he received his doctorate on foreign market strategies at the ETH. From 1983 to 1988 he worked for the pharmaceutical company Corange, from 1988 for Boehringer Mannheim . He was Managing Director there until 1992, then Head of Finance until 1995. In the following two years he worked for Boehringer Mannheim as head of the pharmaceutical division. In 1997 he moved back to Corange and was CFO there until 1998 . From 1998 to 2001 he worked as CEO for the Diethelm Group and in 2000/01 at the same time as CEO for Diethelm Keller Holding Limited . In 2001 he became CFO of the Basel pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-La Roche . In April 2011 he retired; his successor was Alan Hippe .

Hunziker has been a board member at Holcim (since 1998) and at Genentech (since 2004).

He also presides over the board of directors of BB Biotech AG, based in Schaffhausen .
