Alan Hippe

Alan Hippe (born January 3, 1967 in Darmstadt ) is a German industrial manager. Since April 1, 2011 he has been CFO of the pharmaceutical company Hoffmann-La Roche .

Life

After studying business administration at the Universities of Mannheim and Toulon , Hippe first worked as a research assistant and doctoral candidate at the Universities of Mainz and Mannheim.

After completing his dissertation, he started his professional career in 1996 at AVECO Holding AG in Frankfurt am Main as head of the Controlling and IT Systems department. In 1998, Hippe moved to Frankfurt-based Fraport AG, where he was also Head of Controlling, Finance and Accounting, before joining the board of directors of the automotive supplier Continental AG in 2002 . As CFO, he was appointed Deputy CEO in 2008. Alan Hippe left Continental at the end of February 2009 and since April 1, 2009 has been CFO of the steel and industrial goods group ThyssenKrupp . In January 2011 he announced his resignation from this position on March 31, 2011 after Heinrich Hiesinger was appointed as the new CEO of the group. He has been CFO at Hoffmann-La Roche since April 1, 2011, replacing Erich Hunziker .

Hippe is married to Manfred Bischoff's daughter .
