Erich Ernst Kunz (born December 16, 1897 in Vielau ; † April 30, 1939 ) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Life

After attending school, Kunz took part in the First World War from 1914 with the 9th Saxon Infantry Regiment 133 . In April 1919 he left the army.

Kunz joined the NSDAP for the first time in 1922, which he rejoined in 1925 after it was temporarily banned and re-established. In the party, he took over functions as district manager. In 1929 Kunz became district leader of the NSDAP in Zwickau and in 1930 district leader in the department of community politics in Gau Saxony.

From 1929 until the dissolution of this body in autumn 1933, Kunz was a member of the Saxon state parliament . From 1930 to 1931 he was the second deputy president. He was also a city councilor in Zwickau from 1929 to 1933.

After coming to power of the Nazis in the spring of 1933, Kunz came on 1 December 1933 as Ministerialrat in the Saxon Ministry of the Interior a. In this he headed the community department. In addition, he became chairman of the Saxon regional office of the German Municipal Assembly and a member of the board of the German Municipal Assembly as well as head of the Office for Local Policy at the Gauleitung in the NSDAP Gau Sachsen . In addition, he was chairman of the state pension association of Saxon municipalities, chairman of the economic association of Saxon municipalities and the Saxon community damage insurance association.

From November 1933 until his death in 1939, Kunz also sat as a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 30 (Chemnitz-Zwickau) .

Kunz, who was appointed Ministerial Director in 1939, died in an accident in April 1939.
