Erich Schüler (born January 31, 1905 in Berlin , † after 1944) was a German politician ( NSDAP ).

Live and act

After attending the community school and the Carl-Michaelis-Realschule in Berlin, pupils acquired the upper secondary qualification. In 1922 he began an apprenticeship at Commerz- und Privatbank . From 1925 to 1935 he worked as a bank clerk.

At the beginning of January 1928, a student became an SA man at SA Storm 27 in Berlin. In the SA he was last promoted to Obersturmbannführer in November 1942 . He joined the NSDAP on May 1, 1928 ( membership number 88,687). In the party he initially took over offices as a section leader or local group leader of the South-East section, based in the Wiener Garten pub. This was followed by posts as sub-street cell leader and first cashier in the South-East section, before he was appointed section leader of the Berlin Gau on June 3, 1929, which he remained until September 30, 1932. From July 1, 1932 to September 30, 1932, he was head of the National Socialist People's Welfare (NSV) in the Berlin-Mitte district. He then acted from October 1, 1932 to November 20, 1932 as the head of the Gauinspektion Westen , in order to take over the management of the NSDAP district IX ( Berlin-Köpenick ) from November 29, 1932 to January 3, 1938 .

After the National Socialist “ seizure of power ”, Schüler also began to exercise public offices: from June 1933 to June 1935 he was an unpaid city councilor at the Kreuzberg district office , then as a full-time city councilor and, from 1936, as the first district councilor of the same district.

On January 3, 1938, Schüler was finally appointed head of the inspection service of the NSDAP's Gau Propaganda Office for the Gau Berlin.

From March 29, 1936 until the end of the Nazi regime in spring 1945, Schüler was also a member of the National Socialist Reichstag for constituency 3 (East Berlin) . The pupil was also a member of the NSBO (membership number 250) and holder of the NSDAP badge of honor and the silver Gauehrenzeichen .

In the Second World War , Schüler did military service from 1941 to 1942.
