Erich Tschöp (born October 10, 1937 ) was a German football player who was active for SC Empor Rostock and for FC Bayern Munich in the Oberliga, the top German division at the time.

societies
Until the age of 18, Tschöp played for the soccer department of the BSG Lokomotive Haldensleben , located north of Magdeburg , whose 1st men's team was promoted to the fourth-class district league Magdeburg in 1954 . In 1956 he was as a young talent to Oberliga delegated SC Empor Rostock since Magdeburg possessed at that time no league team. Rostock, on the other hand, urgently needed new players, who from 1954 could only be delegated in small numbers from the soccer team of the BSG Empor Lauter , from the Saxon town of Lauter in the Ore Mountains , which has 8,000 inhabitants .
His first league game for SC Empor Rostock played Tschöp on August 26, 1956 (16th matchday) in the 0-2 defeat in the home game against SC Lokomotive Leipzig . He was called up on the half-left storm side as a replacement for the injured Rolf Leeb . Since Leeb was out until the end of the season, Tschöp completed seven more games in which he always ran up as a striker, but only scored a single goal. This he succeeded on October 17, 1956 (24th matchday) in a 2-2 draw in the away game against ZSK Vorwärts Berlin with the connection goal to 1: 2 in the 40th minute. Since the other teammates were also not very accurate, the SC Empor Rostock rose at the end of the 1956 season with the second worst scoring as bottom of the table .
It was four years before Tschöp was back in a first-class team. Fled from the GDR to the Federal Republic of Germany , he joined FC Bayern Munich , for which he only played a league game in the Oberliga Süd in the 1960/61 season . He made his competitive debut on September 17, 1960 (6th matchday) in a goalless draw in the city derby against TSV 1860 Munich . In addition, he was used on October 23, 1960 in the 4-1 win in the away game against SpVgg Kaufbeuren in the first round of the competition for the South German Cup , as well as in eight friendly games. In the following season he did not play a point game, but again a game in the competition for the South German Cup. On December 26, 1961, he won with Bayern 6-0 at FC Perlach in the first round. He ended his time at Bayern Munich with two more friendlies.
National team
Even before Tschöp was used in the Rostock league team, he was used in five games of the GDR junior national team in early 1956. Here he always played as a right half-forward and scored the goal for his team on March 29, 1956 in a 1-1 draw in the game “GDR - Turkey”.
