Erik Lallerstedt (born April 19, 1864 , † February 2, 1955 ) was a Swedish architect and representative of Swedish national romanticism and Swedish classicism .

Erik Lallerstedt studied from 1882 to 1889 at the Royal Technical University of Stockholm and at the Stockholm Art Academy . One of his early works was St. Peter's Church in Stockholm (1900–1901). He soon made a name for himself with his monumental brick buildings , which were initially heavily inspired by Art Nouveau . An example of this is the building for the Trygg insurance company in Stockholm (1906). The buildings for the Royal Technical University (1911–1940) took on a more neoclassical direction.

Other works include the buildings for the Thule insurance company in Stockholm, together with Ture Rydberg (1915–1917) and various residential buildings in Stockholm (1923–1924), in one of which he lived. He designed a long series of new buildings in all of Sweden, such as the post house and Reichsbank office in Kristianstad (1916–1917), the post house in Åsele (1926), the post house in Kristinehamn (1927) and the post office in Stockholm (1930). Together with Sigurd Lewerentz and David Helldén he designed the Malmö Music Theater (1933–1944).

Erik Lallerstedt's son was the architect Lars-Erik Lallerstedt (1910–1978) and his grandson is the cook and Stockholm restaurant operator Erik Lallerstedt .
