Erik Lund (born July 3, 1979 in Fredrikstad , Norway ) is a no longer active Norwegian rugby union player. He played for the French top 14 team Biarritz Olympique and the Norwegian national team in the position of second-row striker .

The son of Norwegian national basketball player Morten Lund moved to England with his family at the age of six months . His younger brother Magnus was born there.

Erik Lund played for the Jesmond Jaguars while studying in Newcastle upon Tyne . After graduating, he played for several English rugby clubs, where he made his breakthrough at Rotherham RUFC.

From 2007 to 2010 Erik Lund played for Leeds Carnegie, where he also took on the role of captain. In 2010 he finally moved to the French club Biarritz Olympique, where his brother Magnus was already playing.

On May 18, 2012, Erik Lund and his team won the European Challenge Cup . Erik Lund ended his active career in 2016.
