Erika Bestereiner
Erika Bestereiner (* 1926 in Vienna ) is an Austrian historical journalist .
Life
Erika Bestereiner studied German and Romance languages . After completing her doctorate , she worked as a freelance journalist and publicist. She has made a name for herself as the author of historical biographies , especially personalities of the great European dynasties in the 19th and 20th centuries, who appear in her regular Piper publishing house . She is particularly interested in the houses of Habsburg and Saxe-Coburg-Gotha . Her books combine scientific solidity with appealing presentation and have been translated into French, Italian and Czech, among others. Erika Bestereiner lives in Grünwald near Munich .
