Erika Dunkelmann
Erika Dunkelmann (born Erika Allwart , born November 17, 1913 in Rostock , † February 14, 2000 in Ticino , Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ) was a German theater and film actress.
After extensive theater work in Rostock, the focus of her work shifted more and more to the early DEFA films and productions of the German TV broadcaster (DFF) in the GDR . Her first film role was in the DEFA film Hazardous Freight in 1953/1954 , followed in 1954 by Ernst Thälmann - son of Kurt Maetzig's class ; She also played in the sequel to Ernst Thälmann - Leader of His Class (1955). She received good reviews in the DEFA two-parter Schlösser und Katen , again from Kurt Maetzig (1957). Her participation in cheerful subjects such as May punch (1959) and New Year's Eve punch (1960) increased her popularity. From 1970 she headed the Rostock drama school for four years.
Her husband Kurt Dunkelmann also starred in the Thälmann films and in Schlösser und Katen .
