Erika Pichler

Erika Christine Pichler (born 1940 in Klagenfurt ) is an Austrian midwife and naturopath .

Life

Erika Pichler received her training as a postnatal nurse and midwife at the University of Munich . In Bavaria she worked as a midwife and teaching midwife and developed exercises for couples to prepare for birth. She is co-founder of the family center in Freising . Until 2015 she headed a practice for health care in Seeboden , Carinthia . André Heller dedicated an episode of his conversation series André Hellers Menschenkinder , which was broadcast in 2013 on ORF, to the "legendary midwife Erika Pichler" .

Since 1992 she has been producing flower essences from 15 alpine flowers from the slopes of the Upper Mölltal and Grossglockner using spring water, which she named after the goddess Noreia , according to her own recipe . Like the Bach flowers, they are counted as part of the “ holistic health practice” and used for “mental health care” as well as for the “acute treatment of stressful situations”. Erika Pichler has been a member of the International Study Group on Prenatal Psychology and Medicine since 1987.
