Erika Woisin

Erika Woisin (born October 22, 1929 in Selmsdorf , Mecklenburg ; died December 16, 2018 ) was a Hamburg politician of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD).

Life and politics

After finishing elementary school, Woisin trained as a tailor in Lübeck from 1945 to 1948 . She came to Hamburg through marriage. She had three sons and was a housewife for a long time. She was widowed since 1992.

She was actively involved in the school policy of the SPD since 1969. From 1983 to 1987 and from 1991 to 1993 she was a deputy in the school board.

She was a member of the Hamburg Parliament from October 1993 to 2001.

Other offices / memberships

She worked in various parenting bodies, especially in Hamburg-Nord . She was a co-founder of the association “Elternverein Hamburg eV”, of which she was chairman for many years.

From 1980 to 1988 she worked as Jugendschöffin the juvenile court operates.
