Erin Burnett

Erin Isabelle Burnett (born July 2, 1976 in Mardela Springs , Maryland ) is an American news presenter. She has her own daily one hour show called Erin Burnett OutFront on CNN which airs on CNN International over the weekend (but only two episodes).

Career

Youth and education

Erin Burnett grew up on a farm outside Mardela Springs , Maryland on the eastern coast of Chesapeake Bay .

She attended St. Andrews Boarding School in Middleton , Delaware before graduating in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in political economy from Williams College in Williamstown , Massachusetts .

Career

In 1998, after graduating from university, Erin Burnett worked as an analyst at Goldman Sachs . After a year there, she wrote an application to Willow Bay at CNN, which she hired as an assistant. She only worked there briefly to work at Citigroup on an internet media startup company.

She then moderated on CNBC Squawk on the Street and Street Signs until she set up her current program (as of 2019) Erin Burnett OutFront on CNN.

Personal

Burnett is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations .

She has been married to David Rubulotta since 2012 and has three children with him.
